Basic Movement

The jump is one of the most key movements in the entire game. There is four different types of jumps that can be performed, most of which are taught at either tutorial locations
Normal Jump
The basic most jump is a normal jump. It is performed by pressing the space bar. Using the jump while being stationary will give the user a slight hop in the air. The functionality of the jump is more prominent while moving. By continuously using the jump, the player’s speed will be boosted by a small amount.
Jumping off of an edge will increase the distance and speed of the jump. This is known as an edge jump.
High Jump
Long Jump
The vault is a quick way to get over smaller objects, and is considered one of the main movement abilities. Objects that can be vaulted over include those that measure up to the waist up to the players head. Vaulting is a good way of getting around, as they allow you to either move over an object quickly, or gain some extra height. There is two different types of vaults that each have different functions: monkey vaulting and speed vaulting.
Both of these two moves are toggled with the G key by default
Monkey Vault

The monkey vault is the standard most vaulting mechanic between the two types of vaults. The player runs up to the vault and taps the space bar, performing the monkey vault. This monkey vault has many uses, such as vaulting over the edge of a building when climbing up it, moving over objects with efficiency, and etc.

The monkey vault can also allow you to vault in the air upwards. Instead of tapping the space bar, the user must hold it down to add a jump after the vault. This function provides even more use, as the extra height is useful in many situations.
Speed Vault
The speed vault is the second vault in the game, and is often used in time trials, for the amount of speed gained when using this ability. When used with a long jump, it is generally a faster method that goes more horizontally than vertically. Speedvault has an ability to convert your horizontal velocity into a redirectable vault. With this ability, it is commonly used with Mag Rail and Grappler
Wall Running is one of the most basic forms of movement in the game, and is very useful when clearing gaps. You learn this movement during the Tutorial, in the instance where you have to cross a small gap.
Usage
Wall Run Demonstration.
Wall Running, at it’s most basic use, can be used to cross gaps to a building that the player is short distance away from, and is lower than the one the player is currently standing on. Wall running can also be combined with a dropdown, and a static long jump, or an SLJ to get to a building that is much lower than the one that is currently being stood on, and/or long jumping distance away. This is known as a downwards wall run. Wall Running has the ability to multiply your velocity if used correctly. This trick is the core mechanic of Wallrun Dashes.
Wall Climb Demonstration.
As the name suggests, the Wall Climb is used to climb walls. This is particularly useful for getting onto buildings that are a little taller than the player. This move works well with others moves, such as wall climbing onto a building after wall running, after doing a Wall Climb Boost, and etc.
Usage
The wall climb has three parts to it. First, a player can go up to a wall and press spacebar to begin the first part of the wall climb. This will start a sudden wall climb that gradually slows down once you reach the top. Then, the player must press the spacebar a second time to grab on to the ledge of the building. At this point, the user is hanging on to the edge, and can do so indefinitely. The final part requires users to press space bar one more time to climb the wall completely. The wall climb is one of the most basic moves, and can is relatively simple as it only requires pressing the space bar.
The Drop Down technique is a movement that allows players to move downwards from certain heights while reducing the amount of fall damage you would usually take by 25 studs. This allows you to fall from slightly taller heights than you usually would. It slows the user down slightly, but can help in many situations. Moreover, you can perform a slide down using the same application of this move. It allows you to slide on the side of a building, taking away even more studs.

To preform a Drop Down, simply walk to the edge of a building and press shift. This is move is useful when used with other moves, such as a drop down to wall run for even lower height. To perform a slide down, simply hold SHIFT rather than tapping it. This will allow the user to slide down a couple of feet, taking away more studs than the drop down. This move is also useful for scoping out the area for a second, to plan your next move.
Ledge Grab demonstration.
The ledge grab is one of the basic moves that can be performed in the game. It is especially useful in conjunction with other moves, such as a Wall Climb or Wall Run. This movement allows players to grab and hang onto a ledge indefinitely
Usage
The ledge grab can be performed by pressing the space bar near a ledge. by doing this after a wall climb, you will be able to hang on to the wall until you press the space bar again, which will allow you to climb up the wall. This move is very practical when needing to reach the top of a building or object, and just when you thought you couldn’t make it, you ledge grab.
The spring board is a move that depends on the use of other objects. It can be used to gain some extra height if there is an object about the height of the players knee area, or the average vault-able object. The springboard essentially boosts the player into the air, giving them a substantial amount of height to reach another building or object. The springboard is lower in distance compared to a vault, but it is more vertical in momentum.
Usage
To perform a springboard, run in the direction of an obstacle and jump towards it. Hold the space bar down while doing this, and you should be able to perform a springboard. You do not want to jump too close to the obstacle, as you will perform a vault instead. Because of this, it is important that you time the jump right in order to not miss or overshoot the jump.
